The best AGA baked cake!

I was recently contacted by the lovely Annette of 'Cakes Direct from the Lodge' who wanted some of our leaflets to distribute at the fairs she attends to sell her cakes. I quickly spotted an opportunity for some free cake and mentioned that I could do a review of one of her cakes (shameless I know!). They are available online so if you like what you see get an order in ASAP!

The packaging is lovely, the cake would make a lovely gift! 'Aga baked cake with run soaked fruit'; what is not to like!

Now for the taste; it's extraordinarily good! I am a southerner so I don't know if this is a Yorkshire recipe for fruit cake or just Annettes recipe but either way it is amazing. It is moist and fruity with just a hint of the rum. The best thing though is that it is not oversweet. I often am not that keen on fruitcake as combining high sugar fruit with even more sugar can be too much for me, not this one though!

You can buy Annettes cakes online, she does a 'Yorkshire Parkin' too! Don't miss her Facebook page.
