A Savoury Option For National Cream Tea Day!

It is National Cream Tea Day!Thanks to the lovely folk over at The Cream Tea Society (now there is a society that I am fully on board with!), we have a whole day in which to indulge in all things baked, creamy, and sticky!

We have this lovely recipe from @stevecooksbakesmakesso that you can bake the perfect sweet scone in an Aga range cooker. The bases of which are browed to perfection on our Heavy Duty baking tray!

Thanks to Antonia for this tea time treat!

I love all the tips on The Cream Tea Society's Page, especially this - "A final word. Never use whipped cream. It’s utterly improper!"

However you take your cream tea enjoy it today however you choose, with friends, with jam, with cheese, in peace, or if like me territorially guarding the clotted cream! Roddasall the way! Mine!

Katy Boys

Katy is a rural girl at heart. She loves long walks, home cooking, paddling in rivers, warm fires and socks and stomping in leaves with her children. After studying ‘drawing stuff’ at university in Bath, Katy spent 10 years selling wares and managing folk at Habitat in Bath. Welcoming children into her world prompted her to return to drawing things, people and places from home. This led her to us at Blake & Bull and the rest is history. She draws our stuff, provides cuddles for the office dog, and is here to chat to you lovely lot.
