Aga Range Cooker Badge Melted?

Has your AGA range cooker badge melted? Don't panic, this is very very common! You have two solutions (other than replacing it which is a pain of a job as you have to remove the hob and a lot of insulation!).

  • Solution no 1 is to remove all the remaining black. Carefully use a razor blade to scrape the paint back to the shiny metal surface. Some people actually prefer this shiny satin finish to the original!
  • Solution no 2 is to remove only the slumped/melted paint from the letter surfaces and the rim of the badge. When these are revealed you almost won't notice the melted sections of black between them.
