Farthest Flung Search Part V - Level Pegging

Our search for the farthest flung Aga range cooker is gaining momentum, unless we find an Aga range cooker in New Zealand or Antarctica, we may have joint final winners! Are you a New Zealander with one? Do get in touch!

Nicola contacted Matthew to share her story, and has been added to the leaderboard as joint first place, a hairs breadth between her and her competitor!

There is 5-6 miles (as the crow flies), and depending on which distance calculator I use (online) it flips to favour either Nicola or Will!

The new leaderboard!

  1. Frankston, Australia - 10,605 Miles& Dubbo, New South Wales - 10,600.2 Miles
  2. Portland, USA - 4775 Miles
  3. South Texas, USA - 4770 Miles
  4. Massachusetts, USA - 4484 Miles
  5. Milton, USA - 3468 Miles

Far Flung Well Travelled Worldwide Aga range cookers"Hi Guys! - My Aga range cooker is pretty far flung! I imported it from North Yorkshire. It went from there by road to Glasgow then sailed to Sydney before it’s final journey by road to Dubbo, New South Wales, Australia. It’s a reconditioned 2 door electrikitwith a module and it’s perfect for this environment. I got extra insulation so I could keep it on longer and because we have a considerable solar set up, it costs hardly anything to run. My husband installed it after getting detailed instructions- he’s a plumber so quite handyUnless there’s an Aga range cooker hiding in New Zealand, I think mine might be the furthest flung so far ... competitive much?! Cheers, Nicola"

Thank you Nicola! We love that our little community reaches so far! A wise choice too to have an electrikit conversion, so much more control in hotter weather. Love your solar choice too!

Katy is a rural girl at heart. She loves long walks, home cooking, paddling in rivers, warm fires and socks and stomping in leaves with her children. After studying ‘drawing stuff’ at university in Bath, Katy spent 10 years selling wares and managing folk at Habitat in Bath. Welcoming children into her world prompted her to return to drawing things, people and places from home. This led her to us at Blake & Bull and the rest is history. She draws our stuff, provides cuddles for the office dog, and is here to chat to you lovely lot.
