I Declare This 'Get Stuffed Sunday'!

Today is the perfect day to prepare your stuffing to take the pressure off on the big day, freeze or chill, it will be good for three days wrapped in the fridge. The flavours mature and it will taste even better!

Here are our trio of stuffing recipes! 

No.1 Vege Prune & Apricot

A fruity stuffing to be offered up as a vegetarian alternative, or alongside as a lighter stuffing to cut through some of the heaviness in a Christmas meal. Freeze ahead of time for a stress-free smooth running Christmas day! Serves 6-8

No.2  Christmas sausage & chestnut stuffing in your range cooker

Use your roasting oven to prepare the stuffing. You can easily do this in advance and freeze it. Defrost Christmas Eve and then heat thoroughly on the big day! Serves 6 – 8 This recipe comes from our good colleague and friend the learned Sarah Whitaker

Another great recipe from Antonia, this moreish stuffing is rich with the seasonal flavours of chestnuts and apples and makes a great accompaniment to festive poultry. The fruity flavour pairs especially well with goose although it is equally good with the more usual turkey. This is one to firmly tick off the list well ahead of time, and freeze!
