Matt our trusted engineer flew up to Edinburgh just before the snow hit last week to join Philip on site for a classy all black re-enamel job.
The views that met Matt & Philip on their journey to and from site on Thursday were simply breathtaking!
There was a crisp white covering of snow in Scotland, thankfully the boys made it back home just in time, before we were met with over 8 inches in Wiltshire on Thursday night!
Here is a photo of a beloved cooker that has clearly worked hard! Do not feel beaten if your cooker looks similar! There is lots that you can do this spring to bring your hob top back to it's full glory! As part of our re-enamelling work, replacing liners, seals, chrome lids, & fittings is standard. Good News! You can do this yourself at home with our comprehensive lid and insulation spares.
Your oven needs to be off, which is why it is a job that is perfect to undertake late spring into summer.
A good clean too will rejuvenate your machine, here's a handy info-graphic to show you how!
A good set of Splash Shieldswill protect your investment in both time and money. keep your lids looking shiny for longer.

It is not that often that we get to see the internals of a 3 oven, as they are younger machines, it is quite interesting to see the inner workings exposed and show it to you. This is a gas 3 oven Aga range cooker, the barrel is shorter, allowing another oven to sit comfortably underneath, radiating heat into the ovens. The top right is fed with the heat from the flu vent too.
Isn't the use of wood here great? The floor, worktop and wall cladding are warm, reassuringly solid, and unify the kitchen brilliantly.
Few things more satisfying than pouring a fresh drift of vermiculite !
This is now topped off with our modern ceramic fibreinsulation, super efficient, and excellent at filling every nook and cranny under the hob.
I like the ease of use here, an additional induction hob nestled into the worktop for moments when you need that bit more heat from a hob and more control. The 3 oven Aga range cooker was re-enamelled in black, which is a great success against the earthy wood and clean white striking units.
It was quite a journey by air and road, but we are so chuffed to have been invited!
