Philip stopped to enjoy the view across the valley in Northumberland this week, you can just spot Hadrian's Wall past the rather fun Monkey Puzzle tree!
Jan was super happy with the results, such an honour to give this oven a new lease of life. It's second conversionto date, as it was once solid fuel.
"Hello Matthew, Greetings from Hadrian’s Wall country! We are still stunned to think that we went from our rather tired-looking old white Aga range cooker to a stunning new royal blue on in just over five hours- although I know that a huge amount of work took place in the workshop before Phil ever set off. We are just blown away by the quality of your product - and the excellence of the service we received. I honestly thought that I’d have to spend next weekend cleaning my kitchen - but Phil and his giant vacuumleft it cleaner than it was when he arrived! Must dash now as I can’t stop nipping in to the kitchen to admire the range! Kind regards Jan
The 'before shot' - love the stone inglenook, the quality of the stone is outstanding. 5 hours later this beauty is converted to electric, giving Jan more flexibility and efficiency, and a gorgeous new coat of blue..
The insulation in this 'Ol bird is past it's best, turned to dust in some places. Every scrap of which is removed when we leave and replaced with a super efficient modern alternative.
With new chrome lids, non-stick liners, side panels, and even newly shot-blasted oven cavities...
If you have oven envy, and want yours looking as good, then you need a good set of wire brushes in your arsenal! These brushes and a bit of elbow grease will give your cavities a much needed boost!
..this Royal Blue really does live up to it's name, quite resplendent!
We hope than Jan continues to feel like a kid at Christmas for some time to come, it was a pleasure to work on! Thank you Jan!
More from the Blake & Bull engineers next week..
