Our engineers converted and installed shiny restored enamel castings on this 13 amp converted 4 oven yesterday, they even moved it's location from one room to another - all part of our Electrikit service!
This White Aga range cooker was converted approximately 7 years ago to a 13amp electric system.
Why convert electric to electric? Running off just one fuse spur, this system tries to replicate the performance of the original burner, with a large coil element that sits in the position of the burner barrel.
This singular element draws a lot of energy. Based on our 2019 survey results, (including respondees estimations and averages) 13amp conversion owners are spending on around £1255 per annum on electric, more than our gas and oil users.
Our Sophisticated Electrikit conversion costs approximately £580 per annum to run, with no ongoing servicing costs, or flue maintenance. The core difference is that our advanced system distributes the work load to multiple elements, which are best placed to ensure that the energy that you pay for is used efficiently.
No ugly external protrusions either like the box attached to the side,...
Add to that the benefit of more control over you cooker, it is a win win! The system's control panel can be seen here, sitting neatly in the centre front.
Our 'plinth to top' service entails installing new springy rope seals, lid liners and insulation. A joy to open, and all the better for ensuring every KW of energy is used efficiently, no escaping heat here!
No Badge? It is a trademark, so I have digitally removed it. All of our e-cook reconditioned cookers come with a carefully reconditioned badge.
Tranquil scenes on site for Philip last week, quite the pleasure to work with this 'Monet-esque' view. Reminds me of being a kid and using Weeping Willow branches as fishing rods like gnomes hanging over the bridge, occasionally losing our wellies in the process - Plop!
Quite a satisfying transformation, and one for which we eagerly await a photo of the finished kitchen.
Before & After - a sophisticated monochrome choice, from shiny black to gleaming white.
In more detail - Lids liners take a lot of knocks and splashes, overtime they age the appearance of the machine and are not the easiest to clean, not unscathed anyway..
If you look closely in the picture the glaze on the enamel has corroded in an irregular fashion over time, something that even a deep clean won't remedy, which is why re-enamelling is such a rewarding exercise.
Small details like replacing the Thermometer Plate make such a difference too, 'lifting' the look of the machine.
When the seal on doors is compressed like this it loses effectiveness, allowing steam carrying cooking fats to escape and adhere to the front of the hot cooker - making for a tricky (but not impossible) cleaning job.
When we visit for a re-enamel we fully refurbish both doors, fitting high performance insulation to both. We do the lower oven too as it improves efficiency - It will raise the lower oven temperature by 10-15 degrees.
We can bring the Blake & Bull aisles to you when we come too, your quote is totally flexible (after the basics are accounted for).New Oven Shelves revive your machine, and can return a smile to your face as you reach in for your culinary creations! New Hot Spots can be installed to replace un-even ones that reduce conductivity to your pans, increase cooking times, and inevitably cost you that bit more to run! If your Flue Shroud has succumbed to cooking residue & is tricky to clean due to it's positioning then we can easily install another.
What colour would you choose from our choice of 38?
Thank you to David for trusting us in his home and with his beloved machine, good luck with your kitchen renovation!
An outstanding setting greeted us for this recent '4 oven module 30 amp' complete re-enamel. The customer made a smart colour change from cream to white, giving this beautiful machine it's 'zest' back. Mr H was so pleased with the re-enamelling result that he put together a kitchen montage to show us his fab home!
But before we treat you to the after shots, have a look at her before. A very good looking machine, just in need of a refresh!
I think that this speaks for itself! There is so much warmth in those grey tones, lifted by the natural wood, the 'zing' of the white range and OH MY! I am so glad that gold fittings are very much back. Always a good choice! Thank you so much for your kind words, custom and for your generosity in sharing this image Mr H.
We changed the colour of Helens cooker in March, see pics https://blakebull.link/helen, and she sent these pics of finished kitchen, cooker & Mollie! Kitchen looking super glamorous and I love how clean it all is - Mollie will sort that come winter . Helen left us a fab review at the time too; https://blakebull.link/helenreview.
