Philip and Matthad a very busy week last week, travelling from the Isle of White to Cheshire fitting in two further jobs on the way! I think that this lovely chap 'amooo-sed' Philip on site last Wednesday!
Philip was on site to undertake a full re-enamel in mocha, a colour choice that we don't see often, so he was keen to see it come together...
This hardworking beauty, a post-1974 2 oven Aga ‘Deluxe’ was ready for her closeup....! Providing meals day after day takes its toll and this girl deserved her pamper!
Vitreous enamelis a resilient and versatile material, but over time it can look tired. Some customers have had great results recently using our enamel cleaning kit to get their hob back to a deep shine. However, here a newly refurbished enamel top was lined up ready to install..
Ordinarily, on lifting the old tops, we are met with expired or outdated insulation, which is replaced with a modern efficient alternative. Here you can see where some of the old cast iron hob has 'peeled' away, most probably due to a moisture buildup.
This is cleaned away with 'Big Brute',and the new ceramic fibre top blanket is tucked into position to prevent the same happening in the future. This is probably the most important part of what we do, as it ensures your machine runs at its most efficient.
I love a before an after montage! Philip fitted the re-enamelled black hob including new black enamel and chrome lids, making an instant difference and taking years off! But it's not all about appearance, replacing the lid rope seals as Phil has done here, helps to prevent heat transfer and is another fix that you can do at home!
