In both systems the control panel fills the aperture behind the original control door. The eControl panel is black glass with smaller knobs and digital screens. These show the target temperature of each oven.
The hotplates have a selector control (right hand hob on, both hobs on, left hand hob on and ECO). To the right of the selector are the temperature controls for each hotplate. ECO mode overrides the temperature control knobs to cycle the hotplate elements on/off and maintain an intermediate temperature.
The ovens also have a selector control. The 3 o'clock setting is for top oven on only. 6 o'clock is for both upper and lower ovens on and the ECO setting overrides both temperature controls to cycle the oven elements on/off and maintain an intermediate temperature in the ovens.
LED lights, when on, indicate that a part of the cooker is calling for heat.
In 4 and 5 oven cookers the 'Hot Cupboard' button turns on/off the warming/hot cupboard.
