The straight rods screw into the barrel support brackets that attach to the top oven. The angled bar is placed behind the boiler and when the nut (not shown but included!) are tightened holds the barrel and boiler in contact. Thus heat is transferred between the castings and into cold water entering the boiler. These fit both the 135 & the 90 gallon boiler.
