Instaheat upgrade | eControl Series X powered electric Aga range cookers

"I think this is a worthwhile upgrade for most. It gives the option of instant heat to those with less patience! To set against that though is the fact that eControl hotplates are fast to heat up even in 'standard' guise. From ECO mode the normal heat retention hobs are ready in 5 minutes. Instaheat is an optional upgrade for eControl Series X Aga range cookers. It is an electric ceramic instant heat hotplate that replaces one of the standard heat retention plates included as standard with eControl Series X Aga range cookers. 

The Instaheat hotplate upgrade utilises a commercial 2.5kw infrared heating element. It fits into the right hand hotplate.

Instaheat is controlled by the eControl Series X control panel, it is not activated in ECO mode. It is a complete unit sealed against spills that cannot be left on with the lid down.
