Stains on your door? Fear no more!

These Pictures are actually from a re-enamelling jobthat our engineer Philipcarried out this week, but I though that it illustrated well what can happen if your Aga range cooker seals need updating, and advise you how to combat this kind of marking on your enamel.

Stains on an Aga range cooker door due to steam releasing through seal

This kind of staining looks like it will never come off, but with a Heavy Duty Enamel Cleaning Kitit will! If your doors sealsare then replaced, you won't see this staining again on your cooker!

The flame shaped burnt on stain seen here happens when the seals begin to fail around your door liner. This seal weakening causes steam, which is carrying cooking grease, to escape from the oven and burn onto the hot cooker frontage.

The Heavy Duty Kit comes with a Scraper, one of our most well received little tools, that makes light work of pesky marks like this.

Replacing your washers too will ensure that your door closes snugly into the right position! If you were feeling 'on a roll' with the whole DIY 'thing' then you could go the 'whole hog' and do a Mini Refurb!Great to do when you switch off for summer!

Here is the 'after' shot, only a re-enamel can make the enamel look this good, but with the cleaning kit you will not be far off this, as long as your enamel still has integrity and a glaze coating. some good before and after pics of what can be achieved here with the product info!

Katy is a rural girl at heart. She loves long walks, home cooking, paddling in rivers, warm fires and socks and stomping in leaves with her children. After studying ‘drawing stuff’ at university in Bath, Katy spent 10 years selling wares and managing folk at Habitat in Bath. Welcoming children into her world prompted her to return to drawing things, people and places from home. This led her to us at Blake & Bull and the rest is history. She draws our stuff, provides cuddles for the office dog, and is here to chat to you lovely lot.
