Electricity Supply Requirements for Electrickit electric Aga range cookers

There are two types of Electrickit system; The Original and The Classic. 

There are two optional induction hob inserts, 1.6kw & 3.0kw; both fit into the left hand aperture.

To convert your Aga we need the correct supply. You'll need an electrician to install your supply in a spot close to your cooker before our arrival. These can be a separate circuit or part of an existing circuit. We will let your electrician decide! 

To ensure cables are hidden, choose a tucked away but accessible position. The inside wall of an adjacent cupboard is a good example. The best place for the spurs is below the worktop level. We need to run power cables to the spurs from the cooker; if they are visible the cabling will be too!

The spurs should be accessible in case the Aga range cooker needs to be isolated.

Your supply will be single hard-wired 13 amp spurs, a 32 amp hardwired cooker switch, or a combination of the two. These will need to be supplied either close to the cooker (within 1m) with a flex outlet, or have a cable with a junction box ready for our engineers to hardwire into within the recommended distance, 1m. An isolation switch is not required but may be added if you wish, this can be placed at the recommendation of your Electrician.

The supplies will need to be installed by a Part P registered electrician and they will need to leave you with either a Minor electrical installation works certificate (MEIWC) or an installation certificate (I-cert) to confirm that the work is up to regulations and suitable for us to use.
