Brown has been declared the 'new grey' by many a interiors writer over the last year or so, including House & Garden and the Telegraph.
Avril was ahead of the curve on this one, with retro warm brown on her beloved cooker and in her gorgeous earthy terracotta tiles. It sets off the blue perfectly, and shows how brown in all its tones is a happy companion to other colours.

I am a big fan of brown, and am considering a dark brown wool for my new carpet in my 70's home, what goes around comes around! It is a super practical colour too, especially with an adventurous mud rolling, tree climbing, paint splashing pair of kids in the house!
No more 'yucky brown', more... 'mmm cosy warm brown!'
