Before you use it for the first time gently wash in warm soapy water and dry on your drying rack.
For subsequent washing using the dishwasher is fine but washing by hand will keep the finish looking perfect for longer - soak any stubborn deposits, don't use wire wool or abrasives!
When cooking avoid cutting directly onto the surface of the dish. Use wooden implements and do your cutting on a board before hand (my wife is always cutting my roasties smaller in the tray; naughty!).
