Absolutely loving the Victorian tiles on this splashback! Whilst we were on site we replaced the door liners, insulation and seals, the lidsalso got the same re-vamp. An insulation refresh is a sure fire way to improve your cooking power and heat retention.
As Philip connects the element cables to the new electrikit control panel Olive watches on, "pawfect Phil, now let's chat about the sandwich that I saw in your lunch box..."
"Boys I am dog tired, mind if I curl up here and rest whilst you clear up?!" It's a dog's life! Thank you Olive for the warmest of woof-welcomes!
How Much Will Olive's Humans Save in 2019?
As for actual, real-world costs? We reckon most users will find it costs, at current £ per kwh, between £3-500 a year to run a converted 'Electrikit' system for use with Aga range cookers. On top of this there is no servicing required. This is £5.75-£9.60 per week.
If you have a gas Aga range cooker, depending on if it heats your water, it is probably costing you £20-30 a week to run (much more on LPG) and oil £26-40. I'll leave you to consider the money you could save over the many years one owns a range cooker!
