All root vegetables can be steamed in the simmering oven in this same way (celeriac or swede).
Peel and chop/slice carrots and place in a pan of cold water. Bring to boil on boiling plate.
Pour off ALL of the water, cover with a lid and transfer to the floor of the simmering oven for 20 minutes.
Dot with butter and sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley and season with salt.
