The tiling is earthy and irregular, but so skill fully applied in this tricky space - impressive! That chopping board caught my gaze too! Never underestimate the warmth and calm that a good bit of solid wood can bring to a kitchen!

Once you get in the scraping and scrubbing mood time flies! The results are well worth the effort. Make sure you factor in enough tea breaks to stop and admire your work!

Fiona and Jennie started by deploying the scraper to remove the baked on grease that had given their hob a matt appearance.

"..quite a few of you were interested in seeing 'after' photos of the Aga range cooker after its 'restoration Sunday'. I didn't realise people would be that invested in it 😂🤷😂. So here she is! It took 8 hours in total but I think it was worth it! It's so clean and shiny and almost looks blue, it's pewter. However it looked the same colour as the top before. Anyone with an Aga range cooker I really recommend trying the @blakeandbull deep cleaning kit, it's done a fantastic job and has saved us from buying a new Aga!!! £26 Vs £15k...no brainer really!!!"

Hot plates can become pitted, if rust is left unchecked. The pesky divots that form reduce contact with your pan, and heat transfer. Making the hotplates less efficient and more expensive to run. Rust occurs for different reasons, but most commonly when the cooker is turned off. If rust has appeared without your range having been turned off, you may need to do some troubleshooting.

You can clean them up easily at home if the rust is light, with a good wire brush set, a cloth and some olive oil!

But if you have pitting the best plan of action is to put in a shot blasted one! They weigh a fair bit! But we do post them, really we do! And yes, shot blasted cast really can look amazing!

"A lot of elbow grease required, but worth it! -
This took a whole lot of elbow grease and a whole lot of time! I almost gave up, but very glad I didn’t. The instructions were easy to follow and I loved how everything was packaged. Overall, very happy with this product!" Kim

Cleaning pastes suitable for use on Aga range cooker vitreous enamel"Fab Result! - When I ordered my Blake & Bull heavy duty cleaning kit I really didn’t think it would clean up the way it did. My Aga range cooker wasn’t really dirty as I always tried to give it a wipe over and clean regularly but it never had the complete overhaul. Last Saturday my husband was off out, I had the day to myself. Having turned the Aga range cooker off the night before it was the perfect temperature to start cleaning at 9.30am. I followed the instructions to the book, by  4pm it was turned on and looking almost like new. I won’t lie, it wasn’t easy but totally worth it when I saw the end result. I couldn’t recommend the kit highly enough so if you have a free 6.5 hours and want your Aga to sparkle for Christmas get ordering from Blake and Bull" Irene, Nov 2019

We are realistic when we send out review requests. We know how valuable your time is! Truly we are grateful for every single one that is gifted to us. Katy was so chuffed with the results from our cleaning kit, that she shouted loud on the 'virtual rooftops' of the Aga range cooker social community, this made us very smily! Thank you Katy!
"Everything you’ll need -
Great little kit which arrived in good time. Everything you need to get your Aga sparkling again. The scraper was excellent and easy to use. Recommend these guys and their advice." ★★★★★

How to clean an aga range cooker by yourselfA super pic here of our scraper tool! I find this the most satisfying part of our cleaning process, you really feel like you are winning the battle with the grease 'from the off!'. This photo is quite handy actually as it shows how rockwool can compress and shed over time losing its insulative qualities. You can replace this rockwool under your expansion ring with a nice plump rope seal, that will stay in one piece, not shed, and fill the gap effectively.

Pillar box red cookerIt has been quite a 'red' September so far! We have had a delightful influx of pictures of Caret cookers, spruced up for the winter months. This is our first Pillar Box Red of the month. A lovely set of Helen's cleaning efforts. Thank you Helen!

Now you lovely lot, here is a task for you! Helen has inherited this spectacular range, in amazing condition considering its age, with a house move. She has tenderly cleaned it, and is now a little more attached to it. But she still needs fully converting! Hopefully a warm winter by its side will help, but can you offer some words of encouragement to help her along?
