Yesterday marked a very special day for us, when both sides of the Blake & Bull business came together! It has happened before for unassuming bespoke plinths {the bits that Aga range cookers sit on}, but this is a first for a bespoke ironmongery & Aga restoration collaboration.
Last year we installed a renewed 2 oven post '74 Aga range cookerfor Mr & Mrs G. They were ever so prepared, having made the space ready before even making the purchase! Careful planning has paid off, this is a stunning individual heart of the home.
There was originally a wood burning stove in place which was connected to an existing flue - not wanting to waste this opportunity for venting the steam from their new Aga's ovens, we fabricated a 'flue plate' to hide the hole in the ceiling and support the flue. {venting an electric Aga range cooker is easy!}
As an extra touch we added a barley twist rail for hanging above the Aga - a lovely touch we thought!
psst! There's a badge on the Aga in real life, digitally removed. It's a trademark after all!
